What is a darkroom print?
“Photos are taken using silver halide light sensitive films in cameras. The films are then processed in a darkroom and prints are made from the negatives in a darkroom. A machine called an enlarger projects light through the negative onto light sensitive silver halide paper to make the print.”
I find creating dark and moody images and photograms in my darkroom to be a captivating and therapeutic process.
Photograms are a form of cameraless photography where objects are placed directly onto photosensitive paper and then exposed to light.
I often find myself mixing various processes when making a single image.
Miniature darkroom prints in hand crafted frames. Some frames are made with resin and others clay.
I also enjoy framing and making jewelry out of my images.
